Blech

"The Move" is now in full swing. The resignation letter has been handed in. All my days off for the past two weeks have been spent running errands to various embassies (well, only 2 of them really) to get passports and visas all in order. Japan embassy wasn't so bad to deal with. Actually finding it was the hard part. Australian embassy, now there is a story. Due to their stringent passport photo requirements, I had to go back and forth between their office, the photo developers, my pc, rinse and repeat several times. I felt like I was in my own demented version of Goldilocks and the 3 bears. "The Poppa Foreign Services Officer said this passport picture is too big, and the Momma Foreign Services Officer said this passport picture is too small..." Seriously, the penultimate picture I gave to them was rejected cause my face was too big by 1 millimetre.

Shipping preparations are also complete. Almost. One box down, another box left to be filled with the rest of my shit, and away we go. My PC is now packed, hopefully it will be safe in its box. Somehow, I doubt it. Between the numerous layers of cardboard, packing material, loose tshirts and socks, the shipping people will still find a way to fuck it all up.

Pics of the carnage:

As if this is any different from what my room normally looks like.
